Week 2: Boston Consult Group -Video Games

Its various marketing tools that  companies commonly used. But most video games and consoles are updating and changing almost every year. The new specs on newer consoles are crazy nowadays . I remember getting my first nintendo 64 and what i current have in my home . Video gaming has CHANGE major. For an example, about five years ago Xbox 360 bought a motion sensor camera to the market for a more virtual playing scene. Then literally Sony , makers of the playstation added a similar camera that you could also pay with a motion wand. Since i was a little girl , i always peep the competition in the gaming  industry. One brand will make a new product and the competitor HAS to make something better or a product they thought was better. But one thing gamers might not know is that the gaming industry sacrifices short-term profit for long term market share and long term profit.  Nintendo was the console i ever played and the Wii was the first motion sensor gaming console : which by the way did great in the gaming market. Nintendo has always been known for great gaming experience and even better gaming hand helds. Marketing video games can be tricky because every brand wants to be on top but also the customer interest has to take play with new products. Adding better gaming specs would hopefully increase profits but brands must remember must have greater ideas than leading console .
